Welcome to LetUsVoteIowa.com! Informing Iowans, who will encourage their legislators to let the people vote on the Iowa Marriage Amendment (IMA) as early as the law allows which is 2011 … which requires its first passage through the House and Senate during the 2009 Session. April 3, 2009, the Iowa Supreme Court gave their opinion on the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) passed in 1998, and so now it is up to WE THE PEOPLE to show our legislators that they must LET US VOTE on a constitutional amendment. This decision isn't only about "moral issues" - this is a breach of the constitutional separation of powers! The Iowa Supreme Court has attempted to make law - which is NOT the role of the judicial branch. This decision is anti-family AND unconstitutional! We need to tell legislators - "take your power back!"
